Brief History: It is one of the oldest in Andhra Pradesh. Kurnool Medical College was established in the year 1957 after the formation of Andhra state. It was started constructing when the people decided to have a hospital to their Rayalaseema region and was inaugurated by the finance minister Sri T.T.Krishnamachari in the year 1956. In the starting stage Govt. Decided to take 50 students only for the first batch late it was increased to 200. In the year 1958 the teaching college also started in the hospital.
