Brief History: In the year 1954 the Central Govt. took over a college from Irwin Hospital and was named as Safdarjung Hospital. This college was affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. It was started on the basis to serve the Army in the period of II World war. The total bed capacity of the hospital is around 1530. The hospital is serving the rural people at free of cost.
