Overview

Jawaharlal Institute of Medical Education and Research commonly known as JIPMER is one of the top 5 medical colleges in India located in Pondicherry. Every year the college intakes 100 UG students and 75 PG students. To get admission into the college one need to take JIPMER entrance exam which is commonly held in the 1st week on June very year.

Since 1956 JIPMER in under Government of India. JIPMER Hospital is a 1500 bedded hospital with Super speciality departments of Cardiology,  Neurology,  Cardiothoracic  Surgery,  Neurosurgery,  Urology&  Neonatology,  Clinical Immunology,  Clinical  Pharmacology,  Clinical  Haematology  and  Surgical  Gastroenterology  also  offer D.M./M.Ch. Courses.

JIPMER Entrance Exam eligibility

All candidates who are interested in taking JIPMER Entrance exam must possess MBBS or an equivalent Degree recognized by the Medical Council of India. Must have either completed or due to complete One Year Internship training by 31st March 2014, if you are taking the exam 23-02-2014.

JIPMER Entrance Exam pattern

For MD/MS:

• Duration: 3 Hours
• No. of Questions: 250 Objective Type Questions
• Negative Marking: Negative marks will be given for incorrect response. For every incorrect response, ONE mark will be deducted.
• Syllabus: Exam will be based on the syllabus for MBBS course

• Online Registration of Application on www.jipmer.edu.in 01-01-2014 to 31-01-2014
• Last Date for applying Online and closing of Registration 31-01-2014 (Up to 5:00 P.M.)
• Date of Entrance Examination 23-02-2014 (Sunday) at 10.00AM
